Train engineer at Minute Maid Park at controls for 13 years
The guy at the controls at the train at Minute Maid Park has done it for 13 years

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Bobby Vasquez may have the best office in the city of Houston. He enjoys an incredible bird's eye view of Minute Maid at every Astros home game.

Vasquez said, "I still can't comprehend that I get to do this every single day. To me, that's pretty awesome."

Clad in overalls and Astros orange, Vasquez operates the electric train at the Astros games. He has clocked in more than 1200 games as conductor and more than 15 baseball season. For a kid growing up in the Deer Park area who followed the team, Vasquez says he is in heaven every day.

Vasquez added, "I get to be the luckiest Astros fan. That's what I say, cause it's true.'"

The train tracks sit about 90 feet above the playing field. But, get this, Vasquez is afraid of heights and he still climbs up for every home game, willingly.

Vasquez looked down from the train and commented, "That's a long way down. It sure is. I find that interesting for your love of the game, you're able to get over that fear? Just here. Nowhere else. Laughter. That's crazy."

The only time Vasquez paid for an Astros baseball game ticket was earlier this month in Arlington during an away game to see the Astros play off duty, as a fan.
