Man's labor of love helps to beautify city of Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- One man is doing his part to beautify the city of Houston.

Jorge Silva repaints city street markers around the Rice Military area. People contact him on Facebook about markers that have been worn down by the weather. He goes out and removes the old paint and repaints the marker so it's more easily seen from the street. Neighbors in the area say they appreciate his work.

Silva says he's happy to do something small that others might not have the time or ability to do.
