Heartwarming note leaves family full of Christmas spirit
Very rarely do parents ever get a 'good job' for their patience. But that's exactly what one mom received

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A family had just finished eating lunch at Willie's Grill and Icehouse when they received a pleasant surprise from a stranger.

"It kind of melted my heart," Mithu Banerjee said. "It still melts my heart every time I read the note."

Mithu and her husband have a 14-year-old son with special needs. He was born blind and suffers from developmental delays. The family was about halfway through their meal when the waitress approached their table and handed them a note.

"She said you guys are all set. You don't have to pay for it," Mithu said.

A woman who sat near their booth paid for the family's entire meal. The note says:

Mithu didn't get the chance to thank the other mom. She already left the restaurant. Her kindness, however, remains.

"There are so many horror stories we hear every day, and you tend to lose faith in humanity," Mithu said. "But we get incidents like this and you become happy."

The encouragement from another mom means a lot to Mithu.

"Only someone in your position will understand what you've gone through," Mithu said.

The note holds a special place in Mithu's heart and under her Christmas tree.
