HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A group of church members are singing to evacuees across the Houston area.

Victoria and Marquist wanted to do something to help after Hurricane Harvey.

Together with their faith, they are traveling to shelters to share their passion of goodwill and soul through singing in harmony to people in need of relief.

It began on a whim in Conroe this week and that performance garnered lots of attention on Facebook.

They decided to branch out and visited this shelter in Livingston.

"It makes me go much stronger and help as many people as I can even after this hurricane is over. Lot of people are smiling, but they're really hurt," said Marquist Taylor

When Victoria belted out one note, everyone stopped what they were doing and took their minds off their troubles and the devastation at least for a moment.

"What does it do for you? The only word that I can use is that it humbles me to think that something that I have is free to offer them a precious gift," said Victoria.
