HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police in West University are searching for two suspects who robbed some UPS drivers in broad daylight.
The frightening ordeal began when two young men, at least one of them carrying a pistol, held up two UPS drivers on Kirby and Talbott Street around 11:30 a.m.
Police said the two men not only stole packages from the drivers, but also took their UPS uniforms.
The fact they took uniforms from the drivers has police concerned, sounding the alarm to anyone in the area who might have UPS packages delivered to their homes.
One neighbor told Eyewitness News said she witnessed what happened before and after the robbery.
"I actually saw them in the car, and thought, wow, that's that kid," she said. "When I was walking back, clearly the UPS drivers were in distress, I could see them, and they were talking towards me since they couldn't call 911."
Both UPS workers in this case were not hurt, fortunately.
Police say if a UPS driver should show up at your doorstep, look for a UPS vehicle outside before opening the door as a safety precaution.
