CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- If you know where a tiny Yorkie named Serenity is, you could earn a $3,000 reward.

Tammy Costello, of Cypress, told Eyewitness News that she's desperate to get her dog back. The tiny, black and tan canine was stolen from Costello's apartment last Friday. Costello said she went to work around 7:45am.

When she returned to walk Serenity at lunch, she found her home burglarized. Crooks stole a television, a laptop and the precious pup.

"It's just a horrible feeling when someone breaks into your home, you feel violated. You feel scared. I've never felt scared ever before in my life," said Costello.

"She's like my third child. I just love her to death. She needs to be with me. I don't know. I'm so attached to her. I know she's attached to me. I know she's out there wondering where her mommy is, so I just want her back."

Costello posted flyers around the Fairfield Ranch apartment complex. She also took to social media, suspecting the burglars stole Serenity to re-sell her.

"She would go for at least $1,000 or $1,500. I'm offering $3,000," said Costello. "I'm offering more than they could sell her for."
