Zales finds woman's lost ring day after ABC-13 report
A local bride took her engagement ring in for repair only to see it go missing. Now that ring has been found

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A local bride took her engagement ring in for repair only to see it go missing. Now that ring has been found.

When we last heard from Kimberly Collins-Catino, she told us about how Zales could not find her engagement ring after she brought it in for repair.

"It's lost, they don't know where it is," she said.

What a difference a day makes: 24 hours after Collins-Catino's story aired, she got a call from Zales.

"They said they found the ring!" she said.

Collins-Catino says in September she took the ring to the Zales store where she bought it because the prongs needed to be fixed.

The repair was supposed to take three weeks, but two months later Zales told her the ring was lost and offered to replace it.

After our story aired Tuesday, a miracle. The ring is now, happily, back on her finger.

Zales tells us they send rings that come in for repair to the central office in Irving, Texas. Keep that in mind if you ever take your ring to be fixed.

When we reached out to Zales about locating the ring and why it took so long, they issued the following statement:

"All consumer concerns are handled in a manner that is in line with our diligent processes... some resolutions can take longer than others, however this allows us to ensure that every guest is afforded the time, consideration and attention they deserve."
