Woman beaten, tased and robbed in her own home

CLEVELAND, TX (KTRK) -- Liberty County sheriff deputies are looking for two men who beat up and tased a woman inside her own home.

It happened around 10pm Friday night at at home off FM 787 near CR 2343.

Deputies say a woman had just arrived home from working at her business in Cleveland when two unknown men broke in through her back door. Both men were armed with hand guns and tasers and were in all black clothing wearing black masks.

Deputies say the men demanded money from the victim and then began to beat, choke and shock her with the taser multiple times when she resisted.

The two men, described as "tall, strong and vulgar" white males, then left with a money bag containing an undetermined amount of cash.

The woman was taken to a Conroe area hospital in stable condition. Deputies are asking the public who may know who the men are to call Sgt. Bortz at (936) 336-4500.
