Mom pleads guilty to making child porn with daughters in Willis

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A Willis woman has accepted a plea agreement on charges she produced child pornography with her two biological daughters.

Vanessa Ganung, 31, will spend 40 years in prison after prosecutors say she forced her 7 and 5-year-old daughters to expose themselves and perform sexual acts on camera.

Ganung was arrested in 2013 after an investigation by the Montgomery County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Investigators with the Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constable's Office say Ganung also sent photos and video of the girls to a man online.

Ganung would have spent life in prison had she not accepted the plea deal.

Her sentence expires in 2056, and is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.

"Ganung was the vehicle by which these girls arrived on this earth, but she is no mother," says Mary Nan Huffman, chief ICAC prosecutor.

"There is nothing we value more in Montgomery County than our children, and I am happy to say that both girls, now removed from that horrible situation, are doing great."
