Funeral for Asst. Chief Deputy Greenwood to be held Thursday

Visitation will be open up to the general public at 10 a.m., with services beginning at 11 a.m.

BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators continue to search for a suspect in the ambush killing of Assistant Chief Deputy Clint Greenwood early Monday morning.

Harris County Constable Pct. 3 officials released memorial service details for Assistant Chief Greenwood.

The procession will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday at the Claire Brothers Funeral Home at 7901 Hillcroft. The processional will and travel up Hillcroft to Second Baptist on 6400 Woodway Dr. where the service will be held.

Visitation will be open up to the general public at 10 a.m., with services beginning at 11 a.m.

Greenwood had a 30-year career in law enforcement, much of it involved in police misconduct and internal affairs investigations. Prior to working at the Pct. 3 Constable's Office, Greenwood worked in Internal Affairs at the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Earlier, he worked in the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

For now, Houston Crime Stoppers, the FBI, the Office of the Governor's Criminal Justice Division and a concerned citizen are offering a combined reward of $65,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons involved in Greenwood's murder.
