Home invasion suspect creeps around bedroom while victim sleeps
The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a private house in Flushing

QUEENS, NY -- Police are investigating a terrifying home invasion in Queens in which the suspect was caught on camera creeping around the bedroom while the male homeowner slept in his bed.

The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a private house in the vicinity of Union Street and 33rd Avenue in Flushing.

Authorities say the male suspect entered the home and made his way into the bedroom occupied by the 42-year-old victim.

The suspect removed a Samsung S6 cell phone from on top of a bedroom dresser and fled on foot when the victim awoke.

The suspect was last seen going westbound on 33rd Avenue. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as 6-foot-2 and about 200 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing and a black snow cap with the word "diamond" in red and white lettering on it.
