Tip leads deputies to marijuana grow field in north Harris Co.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An anonymous tip to the Harris County Sheriff's Office led deputies to several marijuana fields in north Harris County.

The HCSO's helicopter spotted the fields in a wooded area south of a cemetery near I-45 North and Rankin Road.

Deputies discovered at least four fields with approximately 1,000 marijuana plants ranging from 2 to 4 feet tall. Their estimated street value is approximately half a million dollars.
