ELKHART, IN (KTRK) -- Police say the body of a man was found in the same place where his two children were believed to be kidnapped in Indiana.
The bodies of 7-year-old Liliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor were discovered Monday night inside a vehicle driven by the children's mother.

Police say both children were the subject of an Amber Alert when Amber Pasztor drove to an Elkart police station and told an officer they could find their bodies inside the car.
By Tuesday morning, investigators had found Frank Macomber's body in a wooded area near the family's home.

Sheriff's deputies say Macomber likely died before his two children disappeared, but stopped short of connecting Amber Pasztor to his death.
The mother, who is known to law enforcement, faces murder charges in the death of both children.
Amber Pasztor did not have custody of the kids when they disappeared, police said.
