Thieves steal gun, safe from family on Christmas Eve

HOUSTON -- It was a scary Christmas Eve morning for a woman and her child after two intruders broke into their northwest Harris County home.

It happened shortly after 6 this morning in the 20000 block of Baron Brook. The Precinct 5 Constable's Office says two armed men broke into the home and tied the woman up with duct tape.

Officials say they stole a small safe and handgun before taking off. The child was not tied up or harmed.

So far, no arrests have been made.
