HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for the gunman who shot and killed a teenage boy at a North Houston park.

It happened at Keith Weiss Park on Aldine Westfield near Isom.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the 18-year-old's body near a swing set. Police have identified the victim as Martin Ortiz Jr.

Police say the park was closed, so it's not clear how the victim and his killer were able to get inside.

Investigators say right now they don't have much to go on and have not released a possible motive in this case. Police say there are no witnesses or suspects at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Houston Police or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
