Teen stabbed to death in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- New surveillance video shows the moments as a 14-year-old boy struggles to survive after a stabbing.

Investigators say Joseph Aguirre-Flores was stabbed multiple times late Monday night in front of a check cashing store and dentist office off Beechnut near the West Beltway.

Surveillance cameras from a nearby business captured the teen -- known to his friends and family as "Jose" -- stumbling away from the crime scene. He falls down once and gets back up. He takes a few steps and collapses in the middle of Beechnut. That's when Chance Larry, 26, drove up.

"He was in the street there and there was blood everywhere," said Larry. "I was like, 'come on, keep breathing, keep breathing'. He started saying, 'I have to go to sleep. I need to sleep.' I said 'keep breathing, think about your family.'"

Larry used his tank top to apply pressure to the wounds. Tuesday night, he returned to retrieve the bloody piece of clothing and to reflect.

"To find out he was 14, that was really, like, was most painful, and that he didn't make it. I was under the impression that kid was going to live to see another day," Larry said.

Witnesses told Houston police they saw two "dark-complected males" running away on the southbound feeder lanes of the Sam Houston Parkway.

There have been no arrests and investigators haven't talked about a possible motive.

Close family friends who were at the crime scene said the victim was last seen by his mother at home who went to sleep. That's when he got into an argument with his girlfriend and took off in his mother's car.

Hours later, he was found stabbed to death.
