Teen shot in buttocks
A 14-year-old was shot this morning in the buttocks while riding in a car in southwest Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Someone shot a 14-year-old in the buttocks and arm early this morning in southwest Houston. He was riding in a car when gunshots hit the vehicle and managed to strike him inside. The suspects in the shooting remain on the run.

It all happened on West Fuqua near Alrover Street just before 4am.

Houston Police say people in two cars were shooting at a white Ford Mustang traveling westbound on West Fuqua. The Mustang crashed into a pole, and the people inside that vehicle ran away from the scene -- one of them made it to a nearby home where he asked for help.

Houston Police Department Lt. Larry Crowson said, "We got a call on Insley Street just to the north of here, male, 14-year-old male, he had been shot in the buttocks and arm and requested the residents call police."

We are told a second shooting victim was just picked up by HFD. Both are expected to be OK. The suspects are still on the run.
