HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A suspect was shot in northeast Houston this morning while allegedly trying to steal a trailer.
It happened around 10am in the 3100 block of Cedar Hill. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the suspect was shot in the arm by the homeowner.
That homeowner tells us he confronted the suspect after noticing him backing up to the trailer. That's when the suspect reportedly tried to drive off, but crashed into a ditch.
At some point, the homeowner shot the suspect in the arm. though at this point, it's not clear if that shooting happened before or after the crash.
The homeowner held the suspect at gunpoint until police could get there.
The suspect was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
