Suspect in 11-year-old stabbing expected in court today
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The man charged with the murder of 11 year old Josue Flores, Che Calhoun, is expected to make his first appearance in front of a Harris County judge, this morning.
Calhoun, 31, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshal's about 15 miles from where he allegedly attacked the boy.
Last night hundreds of people turned out to honor Flores in a walk from Marshall Middle School to his parents home, carrying empty backpacks.

Friday the school is planning to honor Flores and students are encourage to wear white T-Shirts.

The Go Fund me page set up to help the family with funeral expenses has already exceeded its goal by $10,000.
Meanwhile the boys' family is glad to hear Calhoun is behind bars.
"I felt a little relief that he is not out there with a chance to hurt anybody else, but it still doesn't take away the pain of my little brother being gone," says his sister, Guadalupe Flores.
We were told Calhoun was undergoing mental health evaluations last night and at some point he will appear before a Harris County judge.
