Suspect arrested in connection with bomb threat
A suspect was arrested in connection to a bomb threat at the courthouse.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A southwest Houston home was raided by law enforcement Tuesday in connection to a bomb threat made against the Harris County Civil Courthouse last week.

Investigators say they traced the IP address of the e-mail to the home on Wilcrest Drive, owned by 38-year-old Norman Truss.

"I know nothing about the bomb threat," Truss said.

Along with several guns, authorities found marijuana inside the home.

"That's my weed. That's my stuff but I had nothing to do with the bomb threat," Truss said. "I have no reason to do a bomb threat."

Investigators say Truss had a reason.

"The fact that he was due in court the very same day, at the very same time in which the bomb threat was called in," Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen said. "The likelihood of it not being the right guy, it's pretty much zero."

In addition to the civil case, Truss is now stuck fighting a criminal case in court.

"For anybody who calls threats like this, we are going to pursue it all the way to the end and find out who did it," Rosen added.
