Super Bowl rings among jewelry stolen from Bellaire homes
The Bellaire Police Department is investigating what they consider to be a high number of burglaries in their area

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Bellaire Police Department is investigating what they consider to be a high number of burglaries in their area.

According to detective Mike Lacy, the tiny city split in half by the South Loop has seen seven burglaries in three days.

Authorities can't say whether the crimes are connected buy it certainly appears that way. The burglars knock on the door during the day, and if no one answers they walk to the back of the home where they break in.

In most cases, the thieves get away with cash and jewelry.

One of the homeowners hit last Saturday was Texans Linebacker Coach Mike Vrabel. The thieves got away with three Superb Bowl rings from his time with the New England Patriots.

After hearing the news, Texans players have rallied with the coach.

"It's extremely unfortunate, " says JJ Watt, "You work so dang hard for something like that, especially three of them, and it's terribly sad and I sure hope they find them."

Police believe the suspects could be driving a white Chrysler 300.
