SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities are looking for an armed kidnapper who they say forced a man to withdraw a large amount of cash from an ATM earlier this month in Sugar Land.

The victim told police he was sitting in his car on October 4, waiting for a friend at Blaunsch on Kensington Drive, when a silver Buick with dark tinted windows blocked his exit. A man with a pistol appeared at his driver-side door, opened his door and demanded money.

Authorities say the gunman then forced the victim to drive to an ATM at Trustmark Bank on Highway 6, and withdraw cash. The victim gave the gunman a large amount of cash before running away. He then flagging down a police officer.

The suspect was described as black, 33-38 years old and about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt, baggy blue jeans and a black and white bandana over the bottom half of his face. While driving to the bank, the bandana apparently fell from the suspect's face, revealing several tattoos on his face and neck, including teardrop tattoos on the left side of his face below his left eye.
