Clerk hides on roof of Shell station while thieves steal ATM

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Harris County Sheriffs Deputies are investigating a smash and grab at a Shell station located at 10271 North Freeway at West Road.

Around 2:30am this morning, someone crashed a white F250 pickup truck through the front window of the store.

A store clerk says he was working at the time and fled to the roof to hide. He says several men came looking for him, asking where the ATM is located.

The thieves got away with the ATM inside the store. Surveillance video shows a total of five men were involved in the robbery.
