CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- A sting last month targeting suspects who were allegedly soliciting children for sex online netted 21 arrests, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
The county's multi-agency Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted the operation. The suspects arrested are facing charges of online solicitation of a minor, a second degree felony. Some were also charged with possession of child pornography, according to the DA's office.
"The Internet Crimes against Children Task Force will continue aggressively pursuing those that intend to victimize our children through the internet," said ICAC's Chief Prosecutor Cindy Pulcher.
It is unknown at this time if the suspects have engaged in any similar type of actions. The ICAC unit is encouraging anyone with information to contact the Montgomery County office ICAC division at 936-760-6910.
