HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators need your help locating a suspect believed to be responsible for an armed robbery at a smoke shop in west Harris County.

It happened on August 18 at the 69 Smoke Shop along N. State Highway 6. According to an employee, the suspect came into the store shortly after 10am and pulled a silver gun from his front waistband. He fired the gun towards the back room.

The suspect then reportedly jumped the counter, shot at the cash register and demanded the employee give him all the money in the register and a nearby safe.

Before leaving, investigators say the suspect took the employee into the business office, fired several more rounds into the wall and locked him in the bathroom. The suspect got away with cash and several boxes of cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 175 to 180 pounds. He has a short 'buzzed' haircut, a goatee and numerous arm tattoos, including one of a tear drop on his right cheek. He speaks English and Spanish.
