NORTHEAST HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- Fire officials are investigating a fire that left several semi-trucks damaged Saturday night in northeast Harris County.
Investigators were called just after 7pm to a parking lot at Maxey Road and Texaco Road near Highway 90. It took nearly three hours for the Houston Fire Department to end the fire. There were also reports of explosions from the engulfed 18-wheelers.
At least four trucks were burned in the fire. Investigators tell Eyewitness News that strong winds helped move the fire to other trucks.
Truck driver Frank Days says he's thankful that his truck was spared in the fire.
"My bossman called me that the trucks were on fire down here in the yard," Days said. "Arson is in there to try and see what started it."
No word on what caused the fire. No injuries were reported.
