Police seek gunmen who shot guard
Authorities say the gunmen took off on foot after shooting the security guard outside apartment complex

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A north Harris County security guard remain is stable following an early morning shooting.

Deputies told Eyewitness News the gunfight happened at the Dominion Grove Apartment Complex at 200 Dominion Park Drive.

Our crews witnessed bullet casings and blood on the ground as detectives started their investigation. They said two gunmen walked up to the front gate, leading to an altercation with the guard. Gunfire was exchanged.

"At this point, we don't know what the altercation was for," said Sgt. David Hilborn with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives told us the guard was hit in the stomach. Paramedics rushed the man to Ben Taub Hospital. The shooters fled south in the complex and took off on foot.

"When you are shooting security officers that shows you that nobody has any respect for anybody. It's time to move," said resident Rhonda Richardson.

The sheriff's office said there's no description of the men wanted. There were no independent witnesses to the crime.
