HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities are investigating an apparent act of road rage in Montgomery County.
A mother driving her car was shot at multiple times, and the bullets came dangerously close to her three-year-old son riding in his car seat.
This happened at Old Houston and FM 1314 in Porter Tuesday afternoon.
The victim says she was at a stop sign when two men in a black Tahoe pulled up next to her, and began staring at her. She says they began tailgating her so she tried to let them pass several times.
Eventually, one of the men rolled down a window and fired three shots into the passenger side of her car. She called 911 and tried to get a license plate. She says that's when the passenger actually stood up through the sunroof and began firing again.
"They shot at least five times. And that's when I got scared. I couldn't get the license plate. 'Cause I didn't want to follow them anymore 'cause I had my son in my car," the woman told us.
The victim did not want to be identified. She says one of the bullets landed just inches away from the car seat. Incredibly, she and her child were not physically hurt.
The victim says she's never seen these guys before in her life.
