Police nab suspect after wild chase through southeast Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A wild high-speed pursuit and foot chase has ended with a suspect in police custody.

The chase began because an owner of a Ford F150 left the vehicle running when he went inside a store. That's when the suspect allegedly jumped into the truck and stole it.

Police say they were able to track the truck because the owner's iPad was left inside.

The suspect ditched the truck after leading officers through the streets at a high rate of speed.
