SOUTH PASADENA, CA (KTRK) -- Police are looking for a man they say scammed a couple of Girl Scouts selling cookies in South Pasadena, California.
Police say the man on this surveillance video tried to use a fake $100 bill at a supermarket.
When the store wouldn't accept his cash, he then used it to buy cookies from Girl Scouts selling right outside the store.
South Pasadena Police Officer Robert Bartl said, "Purchased three boxes of Girl Scout cookies with this fake $100 dollar bill. And left with $85 dollars in change of real money and basically ripping off the Girl Scouts."
Police say the supermarket named Von's, did not alert them about the counterfeit cash even after it learned the Girl Scouts were scammed.
Authorities are hoping security video will help with an arrest.
