HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Harris County father is accused of assaulting his 14-year-old daughter because she chose to dance with a black teen.

Aaron Aranza, 37, is charged with injury to a child.

According to charging documents, Aranza allegedly whipped his daughter with a belt, and knocked her into a coffee table after making racists statements about the African-American partner she chose during her Quinceanera dance practice.

Aranza was arrested but released after posting a $20,000 bond.
