HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Houston.
The shooting was reported around 8:40pm Friday at the Huong Giang Hue Restaurant, located in the 12300 block of Bellaire Boulevard.
According to investigators, two masked men entered the restaurant and forced customers to the ground. They also took money out of the cash register.
One of the customers fought back at the suspects. Police say that's when one of the suspects opened fire, killing the father of four.
"As one of the customers was being robbed, he started fighting with one of the suspects at which the time, the suspect shot him," police said.
He died at the scene.
Surveillance cameras inside the restaurant paint a clear picture of the suspects.
"Through other investigations, it looks like they're involved in other robberies," police added.
Police have questioned a "person of interest" in the case.
This marks the first homicide of the year in the city of Houston.
