Photographer leaves bride high and dry days before her wedding
A bride set to tie the knot this weekend says she can't get a hold of the wedding photographer she hired, and she's not the only one who's had problems

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- It's June, which means wedding season is in full swing. But what happens if the photographer you hired doesn't deliver the photos of your special day -- or worse, never shows up to the wedding? We're investigating one Galveston photography company that looks like it's closed its doors for good.

They're supposed to be the images that last a lifetime. But two brides say they're out thousands because the photographer they hired went out of business. So they contacted us for help.

It's a tale of two brides and the photographer they hired, Willow Tree Photography.

Jessica Longoria tied the knot last November and says nearly eight months later, she doesn't have her pictures. She claims the photographer gave her numerous excuses as to why the photos have not been delivered.

"I'm very sympathetic about whatever someone's going through. But at the same time, I paid for a service and a very important service, and I haven't seen the product," Longoria said.

Bride to be, Adrienne Leisey is set to get married this weekend. But she says the last time she heard from Willow Tree Photography was last November.

"That is the last time I heard from her. I have sent her emails which come back to me. And then I sent her text messages and Facebooked her, and I cannot get ahold of her," Leisey said.

Leisey says the booking was done online through electronics payments and says she never even met the photographer in person.

"It was all through email. I wish there was more of a signature, I would have to say," she said.

Leisey says she grew even more concerned after Willow Tree Photography's website was shut down. And now she's scrambling to find another photographer.

"I've found other photographers that say that this happens all the time," she said.

Monica Russo with the Houston Better Business Bureau says it important to research who you're hiring before signing any contract.

"Go to the BBBs website. Do some research online as well. A lot of the time, you find just by looking up the photographer's name, that there are problems -- if of course that photographer is known for skipping out on their clients," Russo said.

As for Leisey, she's up against the clock to find someone else to capture her special day.

"Finding another photographer and hoping that this doesn't happen to other people. It's a horrible feeling," she said.

We do have some good news to report. Jessica Longoria told us she started to receive some of her photographs... but only about 50 of them. She says there's a lot more and the photographer did promise she'd have the rest soon.

As for Leicey, she found another photographer to shoot her wedding this weekend. And has also reached out to her credit card company to seek a refund. When we reached out to Willow Tree... we did not get any response.
