Pedestrian struck by car in north Houston after exiting the bus

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman was struck and injured by a car seconds after she got off the bus, police say.

It happened around 7:00am this morning on Greenspoint near the North Beltway.

A spokesperson with Metro Police say the woman had just gotten off a bus when she was struck by a car. The Metro bus was not involved in the crash and was quickly returned to service.

The extent of the woman's injuries are not known. Police are still investigating the accident scene.
