HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The terror attack in Orlando was on the minds of many Muslims who gathered for a Ramadan event Sunday night.
They attended an annual dinner with local elected officials and people of all faiths. They say everyone needs to be united in the fight against terror.
"Please believe that Muslims are very peaceful people. We strongly condemn. We want to show the solidarity with this country and many other countries who are suffering from all this thing," said Muhammad Sheikh, coordinator of Houston Iftar.
Organizers also say Muslims need to be vigilant to make sure young people are not becoming radicalized.
