Ft. Bend motorcycle deputy hurt in wreck while escorting funeral procession

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Fort Bend County Precinct 2 deputy driving a motorcycle was involved in a wreck on 288 southbound at Beltway 8 while escorting a funeral procession.

Officials say a driver following the deputy moved to pick something up and struck the deputy. It's not clear if that vehicle was part of the procession, but the driver is cooperating with authorities.
