HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 14-year old boy was discovered dead at the bleachers of a St. Jerome Catholic School baseball field Wednesday afternoon.

The family has identified him as Mike Delfin.

His mother's friend, Julia Martinez, told us she received a worried call from Mike's mom Tuesday night.

"It was around 11:30pm when she sent me a message, saying something probably happened to him," said Martinez.

Police say, he was reported missing but wouldn't comment on who might have been with him or the circumstances of his death.

They said there were no signs of trauma.

His grandmother, Maria Soriano, talked about the loss, telling ABC13 in Spanish, that she had been afraid he was hanging out with the wrong crowd.

"I remember him as sweet, he was always helpful, with a great heart," she said.
