MCSO website sending visitors to site for sheriff candidate

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- When Montgomery County Sheriff's Capt. Rand Henderson launched his campaign website Monday for the elected position in 2016, the site was mistakenly linked to the department's website, redirecting visitors to the candidate's site.

Henderson told The Courier Tuesday morning that there was not a glitch in the system, nor had the MCSO website been hacked.

Instead, Henderson said the external vendor tasked with linking all of the websites under his name except MCSO's linked the department's site by mistake.
