HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Homicide investigators are on the scene where a dead man was found in a drainage ditch near the Southwest Freeway and Westpark.

A dive team has just pulled the body out of the water, and say they could not find any identification on the man.

As a result, detectives say finding out who he is will be more complicated. He is simply described as a Hispanic man in his 40s.

The body was found around 6:40am by a man who was walking to work along the drainage ditch.

The water there is very shallow, maybe only a foot or two deep, and it's not yet known how long the man was in the water.

Detectives tell Eyewitness News there were no obvious signs of trauma, but they are not ruling anything out. They also said they do not believe the man is homeless.
