Man killed in suspected hit and run in Spring

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- A man has died in what deputies believe was a hit and run in Spring.

Two people driving around 2:20am at Aldine Westfield Road and East Louetta Road saw the 22-year-old man lying in the middle of the road, gasping for breath.

The drivers called 911. First responders to the scene called for Life Flight around 2:45am. The victim was airlifted to the hospital where he later died.

No cars were found on the scene, but there were parts of a vehicle found at the scene.

Officers are still at the scene investigating how the man died. There is no word yet on who may be responsible for hitting the victim.
