HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a driver was gunned down in southwest Houston.
It all happened around 5:15am Saturday in the 9200 block of Richmond Avenue at Ocee Street.
Police say it was a carjacking, but it was not random.
Four people were inside a black Kia after leaving a club where that passenger works. Police say she was in the front seat while her fiance was in the driver's seat. Two other men were in the back.
At some point, the men in the back got in an argument with the driver. The suspects in the back are accused of pulling out a gun and opening fire on the driver.
Police say the men then pulled the driver out of the car and left his body in the road.
The woman was told to get out of the car, and both men took off in the Kia.
Police say they are searching for that 2016 Kia Sorento, with the Texas license plate GCK-2946. Officers say they believe the suspects are nearby.
We still do not know what motivated the argument.
