HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities have charged a man in a fatal shooting that happened outside a Carl's Jr. in northeast Harris County.
Amir Yarbrough is charged with capital murder in the death of Marquiet Davis, according to court documents.
The shooting happened Wednesday in the parking lot of a Carl's Jr. in the 15200 block of Wallisville Road. According to Harris County Sheriff's Office Captain Michael Koteras, a man in a white convertible was parked when another car with three men inside pulled in next to it. Two men got out and the two parties exchanged gunfire. There were "multiple gunshots," said Koteras.

Davis was in the convertible and died in the driver's seat. Another man was found injured at an adjacent shopping center. He was taken to the hospital. Deputies are looking for two others who left the scene in a white Chevy Cobalt or Nissan.
Family who gathered at the scene said the victim made a phone call with concerns he was being followed.
Investigators do not know what started the confrontation or whether the two parties knew each other.
