Man taken into custody for trespassing at local TV studio

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man is facing charges after breaking into the private property of a local television station.

It happened around 3:00am this morning at the KPRC studios located in southwest Houston. Police were called to the scene after a man climbed the property's fence and got on top of a carport.

When officers arrived, the man climbed back over the fence, onto the roof of an office complex next door and then jumped onto a tree. Police and firefighters used a ladder to reach him.

The man was not armed and is now being evaluated for mental health issues. Charges against him are pending.
