Location, location location! Or not...
A League City homeowner is fighting a home builder that's building a home obstructing his view of the cul-de-sac

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A League City homeowner has gathered dozens of signatures in an effort to stop the construction of a new home she says is now blocking the line of sight out her front door and windows.

The couple says they had their home built in 2012 and just a few months ago Gehan Homes started construction of a two-story home on the property immediately next door. The owner and other neighbors say the prior developer promised the property would be kept as a green space. But it was sold to Gehan Homes, which then started construction.

The homeowner took the petition containing 120 signatures to the city of League City when then conducted an investigation but discovered no violation of city ordinances or building code. It's a 7,153 square foot plot, with a 5-foot set back on the side, according to city a plat.

The homeowner and other neighbors fear the completed home, in its current location and orientation will hurt property values. Further, she tells us Gehan Homes and its construction crews have been damaging their their property with equipment and littering it with trash while building the home.

Gehan Homes refused to respond to our questions about this matter.
