Police tie clown-related threat to Livingston ISD student

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRK) -- A 14-year-old student has been charged for making a clown-related terroristic threat in Livingston ISD.

The Livingston Police Department says the teen was taken into custody around 12:57am after investigating posts made by a "Larry Brown" on Facebook.

Clown Threats Sent to Schools

The posts threatened violence against students at the school.

LISD says they are continuing to investigate and that threats like this are of the highest priority.

The arrest comes after several Texas schools, including some in Houston, were the target of social media hoaxes which threatened campuses.
