LIBERTY COUNTY (KTRK) -- Precinct 6 Constable John Joslin surrendered Monday at the Liberty County Sheriff's Office in response to two felony indictments against him for Tampering With Governmental Record.

According to the indictment, Joslin is accused of intentionally or knowingly creating "a document authorizing issuance of a peace officer identification card with knowledge of its falsity and with intent that it be taken as a genuine governmental record."

The new charges filed in Liberty County are in addition to a misdemeanor perjury charge filed against Joslin in Beaumont last January.
