Rodeo Houston to be home to the largest portable observation wheel

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The largest portable observation wheel in the western hemisphere, the La Grande XL, will roll into town for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Each of its 30 cabins featured air conditioning, and are complete with leather seats and glass floors.

The observation wheel is one of 79 rides featured at the carnival this year, along with 58 games and 38 food stands.

Carnival activities kick off March 7.
