Over the next 11 days, 20 candidates running for president of the United States -- both Democrats and Republicans -- will make the trip to the Iowa State Fair.
They'll be serving themselves up to voters, and they'll be served all kinds of deep fried foods. Most of the candidates will also be pitching their messaging to fair-goers at the Des Moines Register Soapbox, a stage surrounded by haystacks.
The State Fair is a rite of passage for White House hopefuls - a place for the candidates to flip some pork chops, pet the animals and mingle with potential caucus-goers.
