Two people were arrested in Houston after a Kush drug bust.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, HPD Chief Art Acevedo and District Attorney Kim Ogg announced the arrests Thursday afternoon.

Close to 100,000 doses of Kush were seized during the nearly six month operation, Ogg said. The drugs have a street value of $2.5 million, according to Acevedo.

Mayor Turner said the bust was the largest to date.

In June, he announced an aggressive campaign to battle the synthetic drug and to stop the spreading across Houston.
