Houston rapper accused of rape arrested in Los Angeles

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Accused child rapist Calderon Texada is now in custody.

Houston Crime Stoppers says the local rapper was arrested in Los Angeles, but while he was being driven back to Texas by a a bondman back to Texas, they were stopped for speeding in Junction, TX, in Kimble County.

During the traffic stop, the bondsman told officers he was transporting a fugitive, and officers took Texada into custody. Texada is now in the Kimble County Jail. He will eventually be sent back to Houston to face charges.

A few days ago, we told you Texada was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in October of 2013. Aldine police say Texada picked up the Eisenhower High School student on her way to school, then took her to an apartment complex and raped her.
